My little family is even as we speak battening down the hatches for the horrific snow fall that’s about to descend upon my region over the next several hours. I have set the eldest to testing out the portable generator while the little ones chop and split a cord of wood. Later we’ll bring in the cows from the pasture and chip a hole in the ice so Ol’ Bess can drink.
Actually our only preparations have included laying in an extra-large stock of clementines, milk and wine. We will most likely spend the day reading books, watching the television and feeling grateful that the house is warm.
If you’re getting snowed on too I wish you luck. If you’re somewhere warm and sunny I kind of hate you right now.
Oh, did I mention that tomorrow is my birthday?

We are settling in after I get out of work today. I plan on not going ANYWHERE until Thursday. We are going to get 10-15″ in my region, IF NOT MORE in my direct area.
