Her*: I need an opinion.
Me: Ok?
Her: About a dating situation.
Me: And you think I should have a good answer?
Her: Is it ok to break something off with a message on voice mail?
Me: How many times have you seen him?
Her: Just once, for coffee.
Me: Only once? You don’t have to say anything at all after just one coffee-date.
Her: I don’t want to be a jerk. And he seems to be very clingy.
Me: Oh, he’s clingy is he?
Her: Dude. He is First-Class clingy.
Me: Then I revise my answer.
Her: I have to call him?
Me: No, email.
Her: Ah, email.
Me: “I don’t think we’re looking for the same things.”
Her: YES! “I don’t think we’re looking for the same things. I’m looking for someone who has a life, and you’re still looking for a life.”

*Her = Finding Miss B

I applaud her sensibility for not wanting to seem rude to the date, it’s alot more then what most would do in the situation. there’s nothing wrong in saying your looking for diffrent things, but also to keep yourself distant enough to avoid the dreaded “But i can change, tell me how!” speech that can induce further guilt.
Hats off to you, Miss B.
“I’m looking for someone who has a life, and you’re still looking for a life.” Fabulous.
