I freaking love this. Have always had deep respect for elder issues, senior sexuality, and hope I’m still in love with my man when he’s old. Just say POV doc called “The Way We Get By” excellent – watch it if you can! And want to see Andrew Jenks, Rm 335, about a 19 yr old who moves into a nursing home as a social experiment.

If I remember correctly, you worked in a nursing home at one time, right?
YES I did, I worked in nursing homes and hospitals for five years. I’ve also done hospice volunteer. I am keenly interested in elder issues, advocacy, death and dying, and sexuality. I never know the right word to use – elder? senior? aging? golden? I just love old people! And what IS old people? Anyone over 75? 80? So many of my friends are older. I’m good friends with an 89 yr old and a 92 yr old. I wish everyone would “adopt” a lonely homebound or nursing home person and visit them once a week.
