Two hours ago I felt fine. I put the kids to bed then sat down to finish tonight’s post, watch Top Chef and have a visit with the boyfriend.
Twenty minutes into the conversation I started to feel not-so-fine. As I’m writing this the temperature seems to be dropping (I checked the thermostat; it’s functioning normally. Also, we have no ghosts.) and I’m going achy all over.
By the time this posts I plan on being in bed.
Please leave chicken soup and wishes for a speedy recovery in the comments below.

Here’s wishes for a speedy recovery, but i don’t think Chicken Soup travels over the internet well.
Hope you feel better soon!
Take precious care and feel better :)
By all means, take some time to recover. You’ll be no good to anyone–not your kids, your readers or yourself–if you can’t do more than shiver in bed. Get well soon. We’ll entertain ourselves in the meantime.
I hope you feel better! OJ and chicken soup for sure.
Boil some ginger root(you probably have some left over from your figging experiments) for about 20 minutes to make a very strong tea. Add some lemon and honey and you’ll feel better in no time.
Cheers,
sss
Oh, aag, feel better soon.
I’m leaving some chicken soup and hot tea with honey on your virtual doorstep, ringing the doorbell, and running. I’d stay and chat, but I just got over the crud myself and don’t want it back. Hope you feel better soon!
and here i am reading from under my covers, trying in vain to get warm, and remembering that when the kids had this a few days ago, they were better in about 36 hrs. cheers from one sick day momma to another.
No soup for you, but heartfelt wishes for you to feel better very soon!
Heal quickly. I’ll send some good health karma your way!
Uh-oh, sudden onset often = flu.
Go to bed. I’ll write you a note if you need one. :-)
Thanks everyone. It’s just a cold, definitely not the flu, but I feel like shite. :(
I’m with Chislut and others: fast onset is often a sign of flu: if you can get it confirmed, and start taking it early enough, Tamiflu or it’s cousin for the other class of flu can make a huge difference. Not so much after the first day or so.
But you’re there and I’m not, so that’s just a general observation and not specific advice.
Instead I’ll just say I hope you feel better soon. And that nobody else in your house gets it till you’re done with it.
Take care,
figleaf
Noooo it’s def. not the flu, as I’m walkin’ around today. Just a bug, I’m pretty sure. :)
