My hard line really isn’t a moral thing, nor even some loyalty-to-you thing. It’s pure business, really, going all the way back to James Pierpont Morgan and his line about how he wouldn’t do business with a man with no character “for all the bonds in Christendom.” In any ongoing business relationship there are opportunities to rip each other off; doing business with somebody who is *known* to take those opportunities is just effing stupid IMO. This is especially true with affiliate programs, where all the trust arrows point the wrong direction — when there’s a thousand ways to screw an affiliate, sending traffic to an affiliate program run by crooks ranks right up there in the annals of stupidity with trying to use a “do your own root canal” kit.
