The problem is that cooling on a universal motor is designed to work at a particular speed.

It may not look like the motor is doing a lot of work, but the off-balance weight they use to create vibrations actually puts a lot of stress on the motor.

On a more serious note, I have encountered a couple of people that have used the Magic Wand so often on the highest speed settings that they have lost the ability to orgasm from a lighter touch. Think of it like the guy who chronically masturbates with the ‘Death Grip’. Same sort of thing.
